Linda is in her late 50s and has struggled with her weight her entire adult life.
She calls herself the "Queen of Turtles" because her ketogenic success has been a slow, but steady journey. We all know who won that race though, don't we?
It wasn't always so.
After trying, and failing, nearly every diet and fad under the sun, she was left feeling hopeless and defeated. She always excused her failed diet plans by saying, "Life is short! Live a little!" However, she was unknowingly shortening her life with every pound she failed to lose, and every diet she couldn't stick with.
Years of yo-yo dieting had taken their toll on Linda's metabolism and she developed insulin resistantance and obesity. She stopped weighing herself and refused to look at the scale when she went to the doctor. Her last recorded weight was 260 pounds, but she was more likely nearing 300 at her highest.
Her legs and feet would swell with pitting edema every afternoon and evening. She would have to sit down after walking across the parking lot at the grocery store, and could see diabetes and heart disease, conditions that had stolen the life of her father, coming for her next. She knew it was only a matter of time.
Linda's life came close to its end when, after years of living with poor circulation, she developed a severe blood clot. She started looking for a way out- some sort of escape- and at many times even contemplated suicide. There seemed to be no way out from the endless cycle of diets, failure, and heartbreak.
One day, she devoured two full size loaves of sourdough bread in 45 minutes, and that was rock bottom for Linda. She knew right then her life had spiraled out of control and something had to change, but she didn't know where to start. She had tried eating "clean"; tried restricting calories; tried supplements and shakes; but remembered having had the most success with Atkins and low-carb diets in the past, and she went back with the resolve that she would not quit this time.
Atkins morphed into Keto a few months later, and after seeing testimonials from others than had been following Keto for several years, Linda had finally accepted that this wasn't going to be a "quick fix", it was going to be a complete change of lifestyle.
In the more than 4 years Linda has been on the ketogenic diet she has had so much success! She's lost over 80 pounds, gone from a very tight fitting XXL to a comfortable S/M, and her residual pain from her blood clot has disappeared along with the swelling and edema in her ankles and feet. Her menopause symptoms have lessened greatly; she doesn't even feel like she's going through it! Her bloodwork looks great; she has reversed her insulin resistance. Much to her surprise, Linda looks younger than ever and even her gray hair is turning brown again! She feels like she is literally reversing her aging with every day, and wakes up refreshed with a new outlook on life. She now enjoys going to the gym and lifting weights. She enjoys experimenting with different variations within the ketogenic umbrella including fasting and carnivore. Linda's doctor is so supportive of her healthy lifestyle, he even passes out her coaching business cards and refers patients that are interested in the ketogenic lifestyle to her.
The biggest change keto has brought Linda is the feeling of confidence and hope for the future. Instead of "living a little" with cheat foods, she is living a lot with keto!
Linda lives in Texas with her family of 5 and several pets. She enjoys cooking and prides herself on her ability to create delicious and budget-friendly keto meals.
She has attended various keto conferences and is continually researching and learning all she can about ketogenic nutrition to be able to pass the most up-to-date information on to her clients

I would recommend coaching to anyone wanting to get Keto "down pat." I met with Linda via the computer once a week and she helped answer my questions; suggested resources such as websites, books and recipes; helped with macros; provided much needed support and so much more.
I knew that I personally needed accountability and by having once a week meetings, she held me to that while I adjusted to the changes in my life due to Keto.
